On March 19, SEA Mechanics signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the 'K-Gyeongbuk AI Shared Growth Council' together with Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, the Gyeongbuk Economic Promotion Agency, seven partner companies, and affiliated academic and industry institutions.
The agreement aims to move beyond individual smart factory upgrades and establish a supply-chain-wide manufacturing innovation framework, in which partner companies share data and diffuse technology across the entire production network.
Participating partners include Kyungil Industry, Baeksong, Sungwoon, Jeil Color Tech, Joongsoo Tech, KJ Precision, and Hyesung Metal, while Artiwells will provide the AI solution by supporting the development of a manufacturing-specialized No-code AI platform based on Multi-Cloud Platform (MCP) architecture.
As the anchor company, SEA Mechanics plans to share its accumulated manufacturing know-how with its partners and transition shop-floor data—previously managed manually or via Excel—into a real-time automated collection and analysis system, thereby enhancing productivity and quality competitiveness across the supply chain.
CEO Lee Sung-wook stated, "AI transformation on the manufacturing floor is no longer an issue for individual companies but a challenge that determines the competitiveness of the entire supply chain. As an anchor company, SEA Mechanics will work with our partners to accumulate data and expand the foundation for AI adoption, creating a new growth model for Gyeongbuk's manufacturing industry."
